Mid-June 2025 NUDGES partners, including the Knowledge Network team, gathered in Pescara, Italy, for a productive meeting hosted by the University G. D’Annunzio of Chieti and Pescara (Ud’A).
As the project enters its final phase, partners are working intensively on consolidating results and planning the next steps. The meeting highlighted successfully implemented pilot projects and the lessons learned: in Slovenia, the nudge focused on smell; in Italy, on touch; and in Bulgaria, on sight. The Spanish team explored hearing, the Greek team taste, while colleagues from Prijedor (BiH) successfully applied a climate-friendly nudge strategy with children. Each pilot was enriched with elements of local culture – because culture awakens emotions, emotions drive us, and they leave a lasting impression. And that is precisely the kind of impact we want our actions to have.
The focus now shifts to creating lasting impact through the establishment of a Community of Interest (CoI). This informal network, already bringing together more than 120 Mediterranean stakeholders, will serve as a platform for knowledge exchange, sharing best practices, and fostering new collaborations. Its launch is planned ahead of the project’s final conference in early December 2025, hosted by AUTH in the beautiful city of Thessaloniki.
This international consortium is among the most inspiring we have worked with – united by strong motivation, outstanding expertise, and a genuine commitment to driving positive change.
